What I'm All About:

I grow cut flowers for events (weddings, parties) and wholesale customers alike. I am not a florist, but I can grow flowers for your event if you are arranging your own flowers. I also provide flowers to florists, grocery stores and caterers. For bulk orders, there is a minimum of $100 for delivery. Individual bunches and bouquets may be purchased at the Farmers' Market in Batesville, MS or at my location in Batesville, MS. Please call 1-888-601-5943 for availability.

Please feel free to send me an e-mail. See my About me page for more info. Subscribe to the Cut Flower Availability Feed via e-mail or the Farmers' Market bulletin via e-mail.

Panic may be the wrong word. I’m not in a state of panic. Yet. This week has been unseasonably cool and I’m a bit concerned that my flowers are not growing fast enough to meet the demands of my customers. I also feel like I’m not growing enough. Can one ever really grow enough flowers? [...]

I’ve just been taking a winter break. It’s been too cold and wet to do much outside, so I decided to take a break from blogging for a while. The only thing keeping me sane is flipping through seed catalogs! Possibly Related Posts: Panic? Who, me? New Services – Weeding, mulching, cleanup Time To Push [...]

Christmas is over, and the days are getting longer one minute at a time.  Everything in the greenhouse is growing and looking great, despite the high wind and freezing weather.  I’m putting together seed, plug and plant orders to send in, and fielding questions from potential customers.  2010 looks to be a good year.  I [...]

Whatever holiday you and your family celebrate this season, I hope it’s fantastic! My little brother is supposed to be home on leave from Iraq in a couple of days, so it may be a little while before I come back.  I will be visiting, eating, drinking, gardening, and being merry. Enjoy your time with the [...]

I don’t think anything was killed.  The electricity blinked for a second last night while I was sleeping, causing the safety switch on my heater to trip. The temperature in the greenhouse was 30 degrees F this morning. Not what I wanted to wake up to.  All I could do was turn on the heater and [...]

I have bulbs to plant and brush to clear, so I was terribly disappointed when it rained all weekend.  I usually don’t mind working in the rain if it’s just a drizzle and the weather is warm.  That was not the case. Winter here isn’t frothy with snow, but it does get cold by my [...]

Since I posted my Blogging Goals for 2010, I thought I’d follow up with my gardening goals as well. I have several large projects I’m working on simultaneously. One woman with a only a machete, a few hand tools and a limited budget probably should not be so ambitious. My dad has promised to borrow [...]

One thing gardeners are really good at is recycling. We use cardboard and newspaper as weed blocker, steal discarded yard waste from the curb to put in our compost piles, buy plants bound for the dumpster  because they were “just $1,” and turn almost any old piece of junk into “garden art.”  Along those lines, I’m begging [...]

Time off means time off from blogging. I will certainly NOT be relaxing as long as I have an opportunity to work uninterrupted in my gardens and greenhouse and it’s bright enough to see outside. I will try to take pictures this week if I think about it. I get so wrapped up in working [...]
