After years of slow, unreliable internet service (I live in the Boonies!) I decided to go with HughesNet. DSL and cable are not available where I live yet, and my only alternatives are dial-up (I don’t even have a landline) or wireless through my old cell provider. Let’s just say the wireless was less than satisfactory.
In addition to this new and much faster ISP, I also have a toll-free number and I switched my cell service to another carrier that has much better service in this area. I also upgraded to a Blackberry Curve 8330 so all my e-mail, appointments and address book could be in one handy little package. I now think that my customers will have a much easier time getting in touch with me and dropped calls will no longer be a problem.
If you need to reach me, my toll-free number is 1-888-601-5943. I got this number for the convenience of my customers*. Please feel free to call me as late as 10 PM Central. If all else fails, send an e-mail and I’ll call you.
(*Telemarketers and solicitors of any kind will be billed 32 cents per minute to cover my toll-free service costs and the per-minute cost of my time that is wasted. Those with a prior business relationship may use my cell phone number.)
