What I'm All About:

I grow cut flowers for events (weddings, parties) and wholesale customers alike. I am not a florist, but I can grow flowers for your event if you are arranging your own flowers. I also provide flowers to florists, grocery stores and caterers. For bulk orders, there is a minimum of $100 for delivery. Individual bunches and bouquets may be purchased at the Farmers' Market in Batesville, MS or at my location in Batesville, MS. Please call 1-888-601-5943 for availability.

Please feel free to send me an e-mail. See my About me page for more info. Subscribe to the Cut Flower Availability Feed via e-mail or the Farmers' Market bulletin via e-mail.

After being off work for a few days, I’m not sure how quickly I’ll get back into the groove. I’m glad to have a job, but I’d much rather spend my days working in the greenhouse – especially today. The rain is pouring and it’s chilly. I don’t need to lie in bed all day, [...]

Time off means time off from blogging. I will certainly NOT be relaxing as long as I have an opportunity to work uninterrupted in my gardens and greenhouse and it’s bright enough to see outside. I will try to take pictures this week if I think about it. I get so wrapped up in working [...]

Tilling just doesn’t work. Not for me anyway. It does nothing but compact the soil below the level where it tills, and the crabgrass and bermuda grass just love freshly turned soil, not to mention the weed seeds that get churned up. Last year I decided to take the easy way out. I started with [...]

I admit it. I steal leaves. Well, stealing is a harsh word. Once people put trash out by the curb it becomes public property. Being a member of the public, I have no qualms about loading the back of my truck with neatly bagged leaves. It’s a great way to get extra compost and mulch. Even [...]

**This is also a permanent page on the site, but I wanted to open it up for comment. In an effort to be more environmentally conscious and save money in the process, many brides are designing and even growing their own wedding flowers. Buying flowers that are grown locally can save green in more ways [...]

As a spinoff from Green Weddings, I decided to offer some advice about growing your own wedding flowers. After you decide on a date, do some research about what will be blooming in your area during the month of your wedding. Growing your own flowers does require some flexibility, as you are at the mercy [...]

If you are an active member, you may notice that the dashboard and user interface when you login look completely different.  I decided to go ahead and update my version of WordPress to the latest version which offers more features, easier updates and easier plugin installation.   The front-end of the site hasn’t really changed. Some [...]

After years of slow, unreliable internet service (I live in the Boonies!) I decided to go with HughesNet. DSL and cable are not available where I live yet, and my only alternatives are dial-up (I don’t even have a landline) or wireless through my old cell provider. Let’s just say the wireless was less than [...]
