Planted in: What's Blooming

I have been so busy in the garden that I haven’t had much time to blog about it! Combined with work and school, it has served to make my life very full.

This week I have Echinacea, Veronica, Calla Lilies, Gladiolus, Gardenia, Lantana, Roses (finally!), Dianthus, Ajuga, and one lone Shasta Daisy in bloom. I have planted Sweetbay Magnolia, Gardenia, Elephant Ears, Daylilies, started perennial seeds, transplanted perennial seedlings and put down cardboard to kill grass for a future herb bed. I also have to plant an Red Ruffles Azalea I had to dig up that has amazingly survived dumped in a pot in the shade, a J&P rose that was given to me, Vitex, Lavender, Creeping Veronica, some Daylilies I dug up from Mom’s yard, 18 more Elephant Ear bulbs and the remainder of the Vermeer Lilies before they die.

I have two beds to finish up with cardboard and mulch and I need to fertilize and mulch my roses.

There just aren’t enough hours in the day! I hope to be back with pictures this weekend if I can get a spare minute after mowing and edging and the weather is nice and sunny.

I hope you are all enjoying the weather!
